Description

The Mid-level Tester will assist in daily review and testing of applications. The Mid-level Tester will identify discrepancies and work with DOH staff to resolve issues. The Mid-level Tester will develop test plans, scenarios, and test cases which will exercise the business, functional, and technical requirements of the system; develop test data for use in executing the QA phase of the software development lifecycle; identify and log technical and functional software defects; keep up to date with standards and requirements of software quality assurance as stipulated by software testing authorities.

Daily Tasks will include but not limited to the following:

Develop and maintain user and technical documentation

Test implemented technologies and record results using standard testing strategies including artifacts such as test strategy, test scenarios, traceability matrix, functional test plans, defect management and user

acceptance test plan with entry and exit criteria

Review release notes with each build for accuracy and completeness.

Mandatory Qualifications

1.
48 months experience working as a lead or senior information technology tester

2.
48 months testing functional, technical, and performance testing

3.
48 months developing and performing quality testing, with the ability to identify data quality issues at the business level and support the creation of data quality rules.

4.
36 months experience performing defect management

5.
36 months experience with creating and executing test plans, scenarios, and test cases.

6.
12 months experience creating automated testing scripts.
