Job Description

Mano Lani has an open position for a Junior Web Developer to join our rapidly growing team in the National Capital Region in Virginia. The Junior Web Developer will be responsible for supporting solutions to develop highly complex, diverse, and sophisticated data visualization and multimedia materials for a government client. This candidate will also support their team in organization and presentation of information. User experience, user interface, composed look, look and feel, and graphics design background is a must.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Not listed in order of importance; other duties may be assigned) and must be able to perform the following with minimal guidance:



Duties:

• Design, create and modify web sites.

• Develop multimedia, data visualization, and graphic design projects to support client requirements to inform and disseminate complex information.

• Analyze and develop processes/tools to integrate multimedia and graphics products with publishing and web applications to automate client content management and business processes.

• Analyze user needs to implement Web site content, graphics, performance, and capacity.

• Research and apply knowledge of current trends and emerging technologies and techniques in the design of multimedia, data visualization, and graphics products supporting the client

• May integrate Web sites with other computer applications along with converting written, graphical, audio and video components to compatible web formats by using software design to facilitate the creation of web and multimedia content.

• Serve as the SharePoint developer/Web developer developing utilizing the full spectrum of SharePoint development technologies including C# (ASP.NET), JavaScript (jQuery), REST API, HTML, CSS, InfoPath, Visual Studio, SharePoint Object Model (OM).

• Create, deploy, and maintain customize SharePoint pages using the standard SharePoint User Interface or SharePoint Designer

• Create, leverage, and manage content types, site columns, and templates for site use.
  Create workflows, automation, understand permissions, create forms, and be able to troubleshoot existing forms.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities

• Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment

• Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Word, and Adobe Acrobat Professional

• Ability to work with various government agencies

• Works well in a team environment

• 3 years of professional experience in IT environment

• Must be a US Citizen able to obtain and maintain the required security clearance for the position

Education / Experience / Certifications:

• Personnel performing on this effort shall be U.S. citizens

• Personnel are required to successfully obtain and maintain background investigations for base access

• At minimum, three years of experience within the last five years in providing IT support with an emphasis on graphic design background

• Experience creating process flow diagrams and documenting solutions

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, electronics engineering, or other engineering or technical discipline is required plus at least 5 years of experience (10years of experience can replace education requirement)

Experience:


Applicants must have the experience, education, or training that demonstrates the ability to follow directions, to read, understand, and retain a variety of instructions, regulations, and procedures. Applicants must demonstrate the ability or have endorsements that indicate the ability to learn and perform the cited position's duties. Must demonstrate knowledge of Windows production environments.

• Specialists should have knowledge of the methods of performing such duties as Coordinates with Systems and Applications personnel on issues related to deployment of the VA web and portal applications.

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team; ability and willingness to adapt to changing business demands.

• Ability to produce acceptable amount of work efficiently and accurately; ability to produce quality final work product.

• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills

• Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)

• Must exhibit an independent interest in the use of new technologies, tools and professional development

• Building and generating reports

Physical Requirements:


Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distance may be required. Possible lifting to 30 lbs.
