Civil Engineering Team Manager - Roadway Design Location: Boston, Massachusetts Job Category: Engineering Group Full/Part Time: Full time Job Type: Regular What We're Looking For HNTB is seeking a Roadway Group Manager in Massachusetts, ideally located in our Boston office. This role involves managing and developing a team of 4 to 7 roadway design engineers, providing technical expertise, and overseeing transportation and roadway engineering projects. The ideal candidate should be experienced in roadway design throughout the design process and able to mentor less experienced staff. What You'll Do: Develop, monitor, and manage the section's operating budget. Manage the growth and professional development of the engineering section. Coordinate section activities, establish priorities, and ensure staff development. Support the implementation of the firm's strategic plan and project pursuits. Assist in marketing responsibilities, including client discovery and proposal generation. Maintain client contacts to ensure satisfaction. Recruit, hire, and develop section staff. Manage assigned project management activities and perform technical tasks. Perform other duties as assigned. What You'll Need: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 8 years of practical experience, including 2 years of leadership experience. What You'll Bring: Significant technical experience in transportation engineering. Ability to develop concept-level design solutions for various infrastructures. Proficiency in delivering projects for MassDOT. Experience in mentoring and guiding staff. Technical guidance on complex engineering projects. Evaluation of designs and analyses for completeness. What We Prefer: 12 years of practical experience. Professional Engineer (PE) certification. Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D. Additional Information Visa sponsorship is available for this position.
