About the Role

The Company is a leading organization dedicated to the clean energy transition and is now in search of a Chief Strategy and Sustainability Officer (CSSO) to spearhead its sustainability and innovation initiatives. The successful candidate will be a visionary leader with a dynamic approach, responsible for shaping and executing sustainability strategies, driving innovation in clean energy, and managing staff across various environmental and sustainability groups. Key responsibilities for the CSSO include stakeholder engagement with a focus on environmental and social NGOs, economic development organizations, and diverse community groups, as well as the development of enterprise-wide environmental strategies that champion sustainability and reduce environmental impact. The role also involves establishing strategic programs and partnerships that align with sustainability goals, showcasing the company's commitment to economic development and job creation, and demonstrating innovation in the clean energy transition. Applicants for the CSSO position at the company must have a bachelor's degree and at least 4 years' of management experience at the Director level in corporate strategy, corporate sustainability, or environmental planning and management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leadership and impact, with a focus on specific projects and initiatives that highlight their experience. While not mandatory, related certifications in sustainability are preferred.
